Culture spots:
The hotel is located in the small but charming historic centre of Cantiano and is close to art cities such as Cagli, Urbino, Urbania Assisi and Gubbio (Umbria). Also worth a visit is the striking Abazia di San Vincenzo in Acqualagna as well as the enchanting museum of Cantiano divided into two sections: geo-palaeontology and historical-cultural. From a food point of view the nearby village of Chiaserna is worth a visit, as it is known for its PDO bread. A walk along the historical Via Flaminia and a visit to the numerous archeological sites around the area will allow you to go back in time to the Roman era.

Nature spots:
The hotel refuge of Monte Catria is located in a beautiful nature spot just a stones throw away from the spectacular massifs of Monte Catria (1702 metres above sea level) and Monte Petrano (1162 metres above sea level. It is also near the green Tecchie wood, the large stretch of wood of Serre di Burano as well as the spectacular gorges of Bosso and Burano which are favourite spots in the summer. Then about 30 km away stands the impressive massif of Monte Nerone with its particular geo-morphological and natural features. The trails passing by the hotel refuge are those of the Catria and Nerone territories. Nearby there is also the “Sentiero Frassati Marche”.

The hotel:
The hotel is relatively new and was first opened in the 1990s. It is cosy and functional at the same time. It is easy to get to the historic centre on foot and the hotel is suited not just for large groups but also families wishing to relax and get away from the stress of daily routine. There is a lift which can be used by the elderly and the physically disabled. The hotel has a bar and excellent restaurant which prepares local dishes (these need to be ordered in advance).

Accomodation details:
The hotel is on two floors and has a total of 55 beds. 18 rooms have a bathroom and 2 have access to a bath on the floor. There are single rooms, double rooms with bathroom, triples and quadruples. There is a dining room, conventions room with projector and DVD player.

Come arrivare:
Cantiano can be reached via the SP Flaminia from Roma or Fano for a total of 225 km. It can be reached by car, or coach. There is a large car park.
